Who we are
The Digital Marketers is a digital marketing agency based in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. This policy explains what personal information we collect through thedigitalmarketers.ca, how we use it and the choices you have. We handle personal information in line with Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and Alberta’s Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA).
What we collect
We only collect information you choose to give us:
- Contact form: your name, email address, phone number, company name and your message.
- Email and calls: anything you send us directly, such as your contact details and information about your business.
Like most websites, our hosting provider may automatically log basic technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you visit, to keep the site secure and working.
How we use it
- To reply to your enquiry and talk with you about working together.
- To provide services if you become a client, including invoicing and project communication.
- To keep the website secure and running properly.
We don’t sell your personal information, and we don’t add you to a marketing mailing list unless you ask us to.
Consent
By submitting the contact form or emailing us, you consent to us using your information for the purposes above. You can withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us, subject to any legal or contractual requirements.
Who we share it with
We use trusted service providers to run our business, such as our website host and form provider (Zoho), and email and business software. They process information on our behalf and only as needed to provide their services. Some of these providers may store information outside Canada, including in the United States, where it may be subject to the laws of that country.
We may also disclose information if required by law.
Cookies and analytics
Our website platform may use essential cookies needed for the site to work. We don’t currently use advertising cookies or third-party analytics on this site. If that changes, we’ll update this policy.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry information for as long as it’s useful for following up with you, and client records for as long as we need them to provide services and meet our legal and tax obligations. After that, we delete or anonymize it.
How we protect it
We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect your information, including access controls on the systems we use. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take care to protect what you share with us.
Your rights
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it or ask us to delete it. Email info@thedigitalmarketers.ca and we’ll respond within the time required by law. If you’re not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta or the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
